Welcome to Zikim, our Hebrew language learning application (the “App”). This App is developed and operated by 70Languages Software LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”), an Israeli private limited company.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information in compliance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law (including Amendment 13), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and US standards such as the CCPA.

1. Our “Privacy by Design” Approach

Currently, the App is designed to function without requiring you to create an account or provide personal details like your name or email. We do not track your specific learning progress or content usage in the current version.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Voluntarily

Feedback & Support: If you send us feedback, we receive the content of your message, which may include screenshots, drawings you make on those screenshots, and your written comments.

Future-Proofing (User Accounts): In future versions, if you choose to “Sign in with Google” or “Sign in with Apple,” we will collect your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by those services to synchronize your progress.

B. Automatically Collected Information

Unique Identifier (UUID): To provide technical support and respond to your feedback, the App generates a unique, anonymous Global Unique Identifier (UUID). This allows us to link a response to your specific device without knowing who you are.

Future-Proofing (Analytics & Ads):

• Usage Data: We may use third-party tools (like Google Analytics for Firebase) to collect data on how the App is used (e.g., buttons clicked, time spent).

• Advertising ID: For future ad integration (e.g., AdMob), your device’s advertising identifier may be used to serve non-personalized or personalized ads.

• Technical Data: IP address, device type, and operating system version.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

• Support: To respond to your feedback using the UUID.

• Functionality: To save your learning progress (future feature).

• Monetization: To process Subscriptions and/or In-App Purchases via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

• Improvement: To analyze aggregated data and improve our Hebrew curriculum.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Transfers

Your data may be processed by the following types of third-party services:

Hosting: Our backend is currently hosted on VPS servers located in the European Union (EU).

Payment Processors: All financial transactions are handled by Apple or Google; we do not store your credit card info.

Future Partners: We may use AdMob for advertising and Firebase for analytics.

International Transfers: As an Israeli company using EU-based servers, we ensure that any data transfer outside your home country is protected by “Standard Contractual Clauses” or recognized adequacy agreements.

5. Your Rights

Regardless of your location, we provide you with the following rights:

• Access & Deletion: You may request to see or delete any data linked to your UUID.

• Opt-Out: In the future, you will be able to opt-out of personalized ads via your device settings.

• Israeli Law Rights: Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, you have the right to inspect your information held in our database and request the correction or deletion of inaccurate data.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is rated for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain EU jurisdictions). If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

7. Security

We implement “reasonable technical and organizational security measures” as required by the Israeli Privacy Protection Regulations (Data Security), 5777-2017, to protect your data from unauthorized access or theft.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as we add new features like Ads or User Accounts. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the App settings.
